“Office in a Box” Helps Bomet County Government

The Bomet County Government office is up and running, less than three months after United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Kenya Deputy Mission Director Tina Dooley-Jones joined Bomet County Governor Isaac Ruto to break ground.  The USAID-supported office suite provides a quick, efficient infrastructure solution to the new county governments. USAID and UKAID supported the Government of Kenya to operationalize newly-devolved government structures in all 47 counties through Ksh 544 million in grants and technical assistance.

The Bomet County Government office was funded through one of 85 small grants provided by USAID and UKAID to provide immediate support for devolution and help public officials, like those in the newly-created County Assemblies, enhance their ability to respond to the needs of the people they serve.
