The United States Donates Pfizer Vaccines to Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya, October 29, 2021: The U.S. Embassy in Nairobi announces the arrival of a donation of 990,990 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to the Government of Kenya. The vaccines arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi on October 29. This donation brings the total number of United States donated Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to the people of Kenya to 3.7 million doses.
To complement the vaccine donation, the United States has invested $4.9 million to support the vaccine rollout in Kenya through projects aimed at increasing demand for vaccines, health worker training, project monitoring, strengthening supply chain and cold storage capacity, and monitoring adverse effects.
