  • At least 9 easily-prepared meals

  • Water (1 gallon per person, per day)
  • Non-perishable food, such as rice, beans and oats

  • Battery lighting (flashlights, lamps, etc.) Don’t forget batteries!
  • Extra batteries
  • Flares

  • Lighter
  • Waterproof matches
  • Gas-powered camp stove
  • Cell phone airtime

Equipment

  • Manual can opener
  • Shovel
  • Radio (with batteries!)
  • Pen and Paper
  • Pocket knife
  • Rope
  • Duct Tape
  • Signaling whistle
  • Fire extinguisher

Personal Supplies and Medication

  • First aid kit and supplies
  • Moist towelettes
  • Cleaning supplies (hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, dish soap)
  • Updated immunization records
  • Medication (acetaminophen, ibuprofen, children’s medication etc.)
  • Prescription medication (for 3 days)
  • Ice chest if medication requires refrigeration
  • Pet supplies, if applicable
