USAID through the Yes Youth Can Program recognizes the potential of youth to thrive as entrepreneurs. Through the $300,000 pledge by the U.S. Ambassador to Kenya Robert F. Godec, a platform for economic development was created for the youth in Kenya.
In his speech to the youth, Ambassador Godec took note of different partners such as the SACCO Leadership, the Kenya Coca Cola Bottlers and the Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development in their effort to fully engage in finding solutions to Kenya’s development challenge which includes creating job opportunities for the youth in Kenya.
Support from the USAID/Kenya, in partnership with the private sector, creates a wider opportunity for the youth in Kenya to gain support in the different enterprises as this pledge will be beneficial to 5000 eligible youth Bunge members in up to 30 counties in Kenya.
